Week #54
Ho, Ho, Ho. The Christensen's |
Mom told you we wrapped Christmas presents on Monday. Well, mom and Sister Christensen wrapped while Elder Christensen dropped gifts into holiday bags and I kept things running so others would not have to get up and down. I even played some Christmas music to get us in the spirit of things. It will be here before you know it.
Still some pretty leaves left |
Mom and I have been walking after lunch as it is rather brisk in the morning. By noon it is very pleasant. There are still some beautiful signs of fall around and leaves are everywhere. The forecast is looking pretty mild for the rest of November.
Today was Sister Hunsaker's birthday so mom had her and Elder and Sister Healy over for dinner. Sister Kearns was invited but didn't make it. Dinner was pretty simple with soup and bread plus dessert.
Happy Birthday, Sis. Hunsaker |
Some missionaries sent me a notice left on their apartment door saying they owed back rent and late fees for November. We have two apartments in the complex and I sent both checks in the same envelope. The second apartment had a zero balance. I called them and they said they would check into it. Well, they didn't call so I emailed back and was told they had found the check but we still owed $174. I know we don't as their account was balanced when I paid utilities a week ago. So I'll have to deal with them this week.
Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life. Nephi 10:23
